Each year we run a competition on TRUE BLUE. It runs throughout the season and culminates in a "Free of Charge" final in October. In recent years we have been lucky enough to be sponsored by local accountants, Bulpitt Crocker Taxation Ltd, and I am delighted to announce that their generous sponsorship is continuing for the 2020 season.
For 2020, it is planned to hold 12 heats of up to 8 anglers, which will provide 12 qualifiers to fish in 2 semi-finals. Each semi-final will have 6 qualifying anglers of which the top 3 will go through to the FOC final. Anglers can fish in as many Heats as they like and if they win 2 heats, they may opt to fish in each of the semi-finals.
Anglers are awarded points during a days fishing as follows,
1 point for every fish landed.
5 points for every species.
In addition to gaining a prize for winning the final, there is also a prize awarded to the angler who catches the most accumulative species throughout the competition. Obviously, the more heats that an angler fishes, then the greater his likelihood of catching a high number of species.
Competition dates and prizes for 2020 to published here soon.
